There is part of me that likes being able to tell family/friends that a big name actor they know is the new Batman. But I also see the other approach too. They didn't know who Christian Bale was and look how that turned out!

Arrow-2187

Chris Bale really wasn’t that famous before Batman Begins?

Chris

Arrow-2187 certainly not to the level of his peers. He had done movies as a kid and then American Psycho, but that wasn't a big mainstream movie. Batman is what made him known to most of the world.

Arrow-2187

Chris I love his Bruce/Batman so much. My childhood hero

Arrow-2187 Bale made me fall in love with Batman again! I was obsessed throughout the 90s with the movies and Batman: The Animated Series, and all the spinoffs that came from that. Then after Batman & Robin I got into other things, like Pokemon lol.

Batman Begins got me back into Batman, and The Dark Knight made me want to start a Batman website.
